  Thomas "Tom" Linter

Tom graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation, a USCG Third Mates License and a commission in the United States Navy Reserve. One week after graduating Tom joined an International Shipping Information Company in New York City while trying to find some direction into his future. After only 6 months, Tom found a niche into the world of Ship Sale & Purchase. In March of 2001, Tom joined a company called Compass Maritime Services (www.CompassMar.com), a domestic and International Ship Brokerage firm located in Teaneck, NJ. Over the past 10 years Tom has climbed the ranks from trainee to become a Partner of the firm.

In pursuing his passion, Tom has travelled the world conducting business with influential people from Shipping & Trading companies, Financial Institutions, Major Oil Companies and entrepreneurs of all kinds. His contacts and relationships stretch from North/South America and Europe to the Middle and Far Eastern markets.
